I’m really happy to be able to say that I am now ‘Artist in Residence’ for the Apley Estate at Norton. This role will allow me access to some of the most beautiful locations in the area - so you can expect to see a lot more atmospheric landscape paintings on here in the coming months!
Another work in progress, just playing with colours really, not sure what to do next with this one so I think I’ll leave it alone for a week or two ‘till I make up my mind!
It's me...on BBC Radio Shropshire! →
I was interviewed by Ian Perry about the increase in High Street galleries and the popularity of local art. Interview went out at approx 7:42am on Thurs 15th Sept, you can listen again until Weds 21st.
Yes, another one, already! Well, to be honest I’ve been working on it for a couple of weeks. I called it ‘Cloud Chasing’ ‘cos I spent ages dodging the thunder clouds and trying to get to a place where the light was just right. Got there in the end though!
'Harvest Light' now finished, I'm really pleased with how this has turned out, and had lots of fun layering the foreground colours with the palette knife. Can't wait for the next one now - planning some more harvest colours and stormy skies…
welcome to my new blog
I'm going to be updating regularly with information and pictures from my studio gallery in Bridgnorth.
