A two day course dedicated to learning specific skills required for portraiture. This workshop has a particular focus on capturing likeness by representing the head as a 3-Dimensional form.
We will explore a variety of media, finding new ways to record what we see as we learn to recognise the shapes within the head and face.
Innovative and inspiring teaching methods and techniques will include clay sculpture, charcoal studies and colourful chalk pastel studies.
Beginning with a series of simple exercises we will gradually build up the skills required to work from a portrait model.
This course is suitable for learners of all levels and artists in all media. No prior portraiture experience is necessary.
